Every year the San Diego Rock and Roll Marathon passes through my wonderful neighborhood. I always try to make it out and take a few photos to share within the community. I was amazed this year at the outpouring of emotion that lined Mountain View Drive as runners made their way past a memorial of American flags and photos of fallen service men and women of our military. I was asked to take a few images of relatives of the fallen who were running in the marathon, I was honored to be able to be in service in some way for them, as their family had made the ultimate sacrifice for our country. Thank you for your service.
With Spring on it’s way into season, I embarked upon a mission to see the US Capitol which would hopefully be in full bloom with an abundance of Cherry Blossoms. To our chagrin we were just at the tale end of the blooms, however perfect weather and friendly people overshadowed the full bloom very quickly.
I had not been to Washington DC since 2000, and was pleasantly surprised at how clean and taken care of it now is. I will definitely return again, and I hope to do so soon. We rented an Air BB in DuPont Circle. The metro is close fast and clean. It is also much more affordable than the NYC Subway System.

More and more as our God Son is growing up. I enjoy shooting him at play every chance I get. His boundless energy competes only with the camera hunting and pecking his every move.
They grow up so fast! Not even three years old and he’s figuring things out pretty quickly. In this series I think it captures so many emotions, personality and memories to cherish. Get out there, shoot you kids today – they won’t be this age forever, capture them now and forever.
